I’ve **created a program that helps PhDs launch fulfilling non-academic careers, in just 6 weeks.
I’m** sharing everything I’ve learned from 100s of resources, dozens of recruiters, conversations with 1,000s of PhDs, and 70+ program participants… plus, my own 3 successful, non-academic job searches.
This program is for you, if you’re looking for:
- Balance: You’re tired of working long hours, prioritizing your career over your family, your friends, and your mental health. You want to take guilt-free holidays and vacations, without worrying about your never-ending to-do list.
- Impact: You’ve published papers and won awards, but is all that work actually helping anyone? You’re struggling to see your impact beyond the ivory tower, and spending years navigating peer review isn’t helping. You want a career where you can help people, today.
- Stability: You haven’t reached that tenured position, and given the state of the academic job market, it doesn’t seem like you will. You’re tired of bouncing between temporary positions in different cities. And if you have tenure, you’re realizing it’s not as stable as you thought.
- Compensation: You knew academic salaries were low, but you still need to pay your bills. And wouldn’t it be nice to save for retirement, buy a house, or take a vacation? Money isn’t everything, but you’re definitely not paid enough for all your hard work and sacrifices.
- Confidence: You’re seriously doubting your self-worth after years of criticism. You know, deep down, that you are intelligent and competent. You want a career where you feel appreciated, instead of a career where you never feel good enough. You want to love yourself again.
- Acceptance: You’ve never felt like you belonged in academia - academia was always a place for those with way more privilege than you. As hard as you tried to fit in and improve the system for your mentees, it was never enough. You want a career that truly values you.
- Happiness: You just aren’t happy in academia anymore. You dread going to work, grading papers, writing grants, and responding to peer reviews. This is the only career you’ve ever known, but even so, you dream of something different. Life is way to short to be unhappy.

January 2022, I decided to leave academia.
In a few weeks, I had made a LinkedIn profile, converted my academic CV to a non-academic resume, and submitted ~60 applications to various non-academic research jobs. I only got one offer.
A 1% success rate.
Since that time, I’ve fixed all my mistakes and optimized my job search. The result?
Two applications. Two offers. A 100% success rate.
I used to think I was just “lucky." But it's more than luck.
